BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The Department of Physics was established in the year 2014 under the Faculty of Science with the aim to emerge as a centre for excellence in research and post-graduation teaching at the frontier areas of Physics. Presently, the Department offers M.Sc. in Physics with specializations in Nuclear Physics and Condensed Matter Physics as well as Ph.D. program in selected areas. The Department is also engaged in cutting edge research in diverse areas of Physics such as phenomenology of relativistic heavy-ion collision, QCD phase transition & quark-gluon plasma, magnetic materials, metal oxide semiconductors, thin films etc.
