There are two departments in Faculty of Commerce & Management ,namely, Commerce and Management Studies. Dean of Commerce and Management looks after the academic and other activities of these two departments.

The Department of Commerce, under the School of Commerce & Management is one the departments that started functioning from 2016. The department offers two programmes (i) Master in Commerce and (ii) Doctor of Philosophy ( PhD). At present, the department offers specialisation in Accountancy, Finance and Management. The department has special focus on entrepreneurship and contemporary issues in business. The department organises national/ state level seminars/ workshops,/ invited talks, etc., regularly.

Bodoland University is the first institute to offer MBA degree in BTAD Area. The course isapproved by UGC and affiliated to AICTE. Currently, the Department is offering dual in Finance, Marketing, Human Resource and Operations.
