The centre for "South and South East Asia Studies”, Bodoland University was set up in the year 2019 as per Government of Assam office order No.83 Dated 02/05/2018 and as approved by Honourable Vice Chancellor, Bodoland University dated 30/04/2019. The vision of the centre is to explore the areas where trade and commerce, political, cultural and finally people to people contact with South and South East Asian Countries can be built up for the development of India in general and North East India in specific.
ACTIVITIES
International Seminar titled “Act East Policy of India and Engagement with ASEAN” was organised on 30th and 31st January, 2020. Prof. Dr. Md. K. De, Department of Economics, NEHU, Shillong; Prof. Deb Kumar Chakrabarty, Department of Economics, Dibrugarh University, Prof. Jyotiraj Pathak, Department of Political Science, Bodoland University, Kokrajhar participated as Resource persons.
