The Department of Computer Science and Technology started functioning as a full-fledged department in 2011 under Bodoland University established under the Bodoland University Act, 2009. The Department is a continuation of the Department of Computer Science & Technology started functioning in 2009 under Gauhati University, Kokrajhar Campus. Since then, several students successfully completed their postgraduate studies and Ph.D research programme in Computer Science/Information Technology.

• Teaching in Computer Science & Information Technology
• Research in various fields of Computer Sciences
• Generation of skilled manpower in CS & IT
• Design and fabrication of instrument required for teaching and research.
• To provide services in repair and maintenance of computer and other electrical & electronics instruments
• To impart quality education in CS & IT in M.Sc. level
• To nurture and spread the culture of modern & embedded instrumentation.
